Why use markers and pencils for tattooing?
Felt-tip pens are useful for tattoo artists for a number of reasons. In fact, they can be used by tattoo artists to create the design directly on the skin of future tattooees, without going through the stencil stage, or to draw the first sketches of the tattoo. Felt-tips and pencils can also be used to draw guidelines to aid stencil application.
The different felt-tips
At ITC, we offer a range of Tombow-brand color felt-tips for artists who draw directly on the body. This allows future tattooists to project themselves with a particular color before starting the process. You'll also find lots of Squidster brand felt-tip pens, often used as stencil markers.
